Creative Learning Montessori School has as its goal to provide Chicago’s Northwest Suburbs with excellence in education and childcare.
Our unique school and child care facility is located 1.5 miles south of Barrington’s Village Center in Barrington, Illinois..
First named Creative Care Children’s Center, our programs opened in 1985 to provide unparalleled full day childcare and education for preschool children with an emphasis on academic, emotional, and social growth.
In 1997 we expanded our services to include infant & toddler care.
Also in 1997, Creative Learning Montessori School was added to provide an independent elementary school option to the Northwest suburbs. Creative Learning Montessori Elementary School now serves children kindergarten through 6th grade in multi-age classrooms, with a maximum of 28 total children. Creative Learning Montessori School nurtures elementary school learners to become life long lovers of learning by following the child-centered, peace-based educational philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori blended with multiple other approaches to child development and education so we are able to offer a truly unique and individualized program.
Our school day runs from 8:30-3:00. Creative Learning Montessori School Extended day childcare is available on an as needed basis each morning and afternoon. This program allows our elementary students the opportunity to stay on-site if before and/or after school care is needed. Our doors typically open at 7:00 A.M.for morning extended day and close at 5:45 for afternoon extended day. Currently we are running with shortened hours due to covid restraints with extended day hours starting at 7:30 and closing at 5:15.
A summer-fun program is also a favorite of our students as we pack up our classroom materials and transform our space for summer activities.
